TREATMENT PACKAGES OFFERED IN HEALTH TOURISM
1. General Surgery Package
What Conditions Does General Surgery Treat?
The organs involved or the systems to which they belong determine which subspecialty of General Surgery will perform the treatment. For example, patients with endocrine disorders requiring surgical intervention undergo thyroid (goiter) surgery. General Surgery works in close collaboration with multiple medical specialties.
Procedures related to digestive system diseases—such as surgeries of the esophagus, small and large intestines, stomach, rectum, liver, and gallbladder—are performed by General Surgery specialists. Surgeries may be performed using open or minimally invasive (closed) techniques. Commonly used minimally invasive methods, including endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures, significantly contribute to faster postoperative recovery. Therefore, both physicians and patients increasingly prefer minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Breast-related conditions are among the significant health problems affecting women and, in some cases, men. Surgical removal of benign or malignant breast lesions falls within the scope of General Surgery. In conditions such as breast diseases that require long-term monitoring, General Surgery also fulfills a preventive medicine role. Through preventive approaches, patients may be monitored and treated without the need for surgery whenever possible.

2. Orthopedics Package
Orthopedic specialists diagnose and treat conditions related to joints, bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. Trauma surgery covers injuries caused by falls, accidents, or sports-related impacts, including fractures, sprains, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries.
The Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology provides expert care across a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. From professional athletes with sports injuries to individuals experiencing degenerative and arthritic conditions, all patients with musculoskeletal problems can seek consultation. Our orthopedic team consists of highly experienced physicians and specialized technicians utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment such as X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, and CT.
Our operating rooms are equipped with modern medical devices and adhere to the highest safety standards to prevent infections. Preoperative, postoperative, and follow-up exercise and rehabilitation protocols are implemented by our orthopedic rehabilitation team.
Diagnosed and Treated Conditions Include:
Musculoskeletal Trauma: Fractures, dislocations, soft tissue injuries

3. Cardiovascular Surgery Package
Cardiovascular Surgery utilizes all modern medical techniques to diagnose and treat diseases of the heart and circulatory system. Our expert surgeons apply both surgical and endovascular methods to ensure patients experience the safest and most effective treatment process possible.
The Cardiovascular Surgery Unit focuses on the early diagnosis and surgical treatment of heart diseases and disorders affecting the coronary arteries. Using advanced medical technologies, the most appropriate treatment method is determined based on the patient’s condition.
Common Cardiovascular Diseases
Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction): Occurs when heart muscle is deprived of oxygen, leading to irreversible tissue damage
Heart Failure: Reduced oxygen and blood supply impair heart function
Angina: Chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart muscle
Hypertension: Elevated blood pressure affecting cardiovascular health
Pulmonary Hypertension: Increased pressure in pulmonary circulation
Atherosclerosis: Narrowing or blockage of arteries due to plaque buildup
Pericardial Effusion: Excess fluid accumulation around the heart
Myocarditis: Inflammation of the heart muscle
Cardiomyopathy: Thickening or enlargement of the heart muscle
Heart Valve Diseases: Congenital or acquired valve disorders
Aortic Diseases: Aneurysms or dissections of the aorta
Cardiac Tumors: Usually benign tumors of the heart

Neurosurgery (Brain and Nerve Surgery) focuses on the surgical treatment of conditions originating from or compressing the brain and spinal cord. These include brain and spinal tumors, vascular disorders such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernomas, carotid artery stenosis, congenital nervous system disorders (e.g., meningomyelocele), hydrocephalus, spinal diseases (especially herniated discs), head and spinal injuries, cerebral vascular occlusions, and brain hemorrhages.
